Implementing WELL: Governor Workshop
Thank you to all schools that promoted and supported Governor attendance at our recent Governor workshop, as part of the Implementing WELL project. We were delighted to welcome over 40 Governors from across the region, reflecting the strong commitment within our school communities to evidence‑informed school improvement.
The session, led by Professor Jonathan Sharples and Jon Eaton, explored the foundations of effective implementation and highlighted the strategic role Governors play in supporting schools to make and sustain positive change.
The recording of the workshop can be found: HERE. The presentation slides used can be found on the Implementing WELL Padlet.
If your Governors have any follow‑up questions or require any further support, please advise them to contact WELL@cumberland.gov.uk.

The session will provide time for collaboration, professional discussion and networking.
To support these group activities, please bring your monitoring and evaluation toolbox and your implementation plan, regardless of how far along you are with each. These will form part of the reflective and planning conversations during the workshop.
Please do bring along the subject lead linked to your priority if it is feasible to do so.
If you have not yet confirmed your place(s), please contact the School Development Team as soon as possible.
Thank you to everyone who completed the mid‑point survey - your feedback is invaluable in helping us tailor support for each school as the programme progresses. If you are yet to complete the survey, please do so: HERE.
