Implementing WELL: Governor Workshop
Monday 23rd February 15:30 - 17:00, Online
As part of the Implementing WELL project, we would like to invite Governors to an online workshop to learn more about the project and explore what underpins effective implementation in schools.
The session will highlight the important role governors play in supporting evidence‑informed implementation. You can view the workshop flyer: HERE.
The workshop will be led by Professor Jonathan Sharples and Jon Eaton and will take place on Monday 23 February 15:30–17:00 (Online).

Maximising the Impact of the Pupil Premium: 3-Part Webinar Series
Unity Research School is offering a free three-part webinar series focused on maximising the impact of the Pupil Premium.
Reviewing and improving the quality of participating schools’ Pupil Premium strategies will be a key theme throughout.
Each session will explore practical strategies, leadership approaches and evidence-informed practices to help schools make the most effective use of their Pupil Premium funding.

EEF Project Opportunity: Offsite PPA Trial
Applications close: 31 May 2026
The Education Endowment Foundation is recruiting primary schools in the region for a new project exploring whether allowing teachers to complete their PPA time offsite can improve teacher retention, wellbeing and job satisfaction.
Participating schools will be randomly allocated either to:

Offer offsite PPA to all teachers in 2026/27 or
-
Continue current on‑site PPA arrangements
Schools in the intervention group will receive guidance and a webinar to support implementation.

Upcoming Testing Window

Thank you to all NGRT leads who attended the Spring Learning Community meeting on Monday 26 January, where we focused on FSM data.
A follow-up email has now been shared with all NGRT leads, including a link to the meeting recording, the presentation slides and key testing information for the upcoming post - half term testing window.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Summer Learning Community meeting on Wednesday 17 June, 15:30 - 17:00 (online). This session will review project-level data across the academic year and compare findings with 2024/25.

GTT Spring Learning Community
Wednesday 28th January 15:30 - 17:00, Online
Thank you to everyone who joined us at last week’s Spring Term Learning Community meeting. It was another highly collaborative session, offering valuable insights for all schools - regardless of where they currently are in their use of the toolkit.
As in previous years, each school will have the opportunity to develop an end of year case study poster, reflecting on and evaluating their year through GTT. Templates for these case studies will be shared after the Easter holidays.
We look forward to seeing you all again at the Summer Learning Community meeting on Thursday 7 May 15:30–17:00 (online).
