The first forum will include opportunity for reflection and discussion in relation to self-neglect and mental capacity - areas identified in recent Safeguarding Adult Reviews both locally and nationally. In a safe space, practitioners will explore the challenges and barriers to this complex area of practice through the use of case studies, good practice examples and scenarios.

CSAB commissioned the local adaption of an animation about Home Takeover, also known as Cuckooing. Cuckooing is a form of exploitation where criminals take over the home of a vulnerable person, often through manipulation or coercion. This illegal takeover is typically used for various criminal activities.
The animation aims to raise awareness of the exploitation, signs and how to recognise where this may be happening.
