'WELL Work in Action' Visit from Dale
Last week, Dale was invited to see WELL work in action in one of our family of schools.
Dale said it was a wonderful visit and a privilege to spend three hours in lessons and in discussions, seeing at first hand, the excellent work that is taking place.
He was impressed to see how teachers and teaching assistants are embracing evidence informed teaching and learning strategies, particularly the core components of highly effective questioning. As a result, Dale saw highly engaged children in all phases. They were enthused, focused and thriving in inclusive environments.
If you would like to invite Dale to see your WELL work in action at school, he would relish this opportunity.
Please email WELL@cumberland.gov.uk and we will do our best to arrange a visit.

EEF Research School Network Maths Blogs
We know that many of our schools have Maths as an identified key priority.
The EEF Research School Network is developing some really helpful resources and blogs to support the use of evidence, and our regional lead, Kate Horton(an ERA partner) has helpfully pulled these together into a single document for WELL Schools. We hope you and your Maths leads find them helpful in your work.
Please find a link to the resources and blogs HERE.

Towards the end of Summer Term, we will also be offering a number of implementation planning sessions at the ERA building (CA14 4ES). Where you could choose to review and work on your plans for 2025/26 with implementation colleagues and share ideas with other school teams tackling similar priorities.
More details will be shared in future WOWs.
