Public Consultation on St Cuthbert’s Local Plan 2025 – 2055
The St Cuthbert’s Garden Village Local Plan has reached the stage known as ‘Proposed Submission’. This means that this is the version of the Plan that we propose to submit to Government for examination.
Under Regulation 19 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations (2012) (as amended) the St Cuthbert’s Garden Village Local Plan will be published for a statutory period of consultation for 7 weeks from 17th March until 5pm 6th May 2025.
This consultation on the draft policies and map is the last chance to give your views before the plan goes before an independent inspector.
To find out more, attend one of our drop-in events:
- Tuesday 18th March: 10am - 8pm, Cummersdale Village Hall.
- Wednesday 19th March: 10am - 8pm, Carlisle Racecourse
- Thursday 20th March: 10am - 8pm, Creighton Rugby Club
The Local Plan has considered previous consultation feedback along with the wide range of supporting evidence bases.
From 17 March, the St Cuthbert’s Garden Village Local Plan and all other supporting documents will be available at the St Cuthbert's Garden Village website. Paper copies of the Plan will also be available to view at the Civic Centre Customer Contact Centre, and Carlisle Library, during normal opening hours.
