The Learning Management System (My Learning) where practitioners access safeguarding eLearning such as Basic Safeguarding Training, Child Exploitation eLearning and Domestic Abuse Training is no longer available.
Therefore, you are no longer able to access training via the current My Learning site. It is expected that there will be a short timescale where eLearning will not be available. We are waiting for further confirmation when a new platform will be ready for practitioners to access training. Once we have further details we will send you further information via a 5 minute briefing of how you will be able to access eLearning.

The Department for Education (DfE) have published a revised information sharing advice document from May 2024. You can access the revised advice document here
This HM Government advice document outlines the importance of sharing information about children, young people and their families in order to safeguard children. It should be read alongside the statutory guidance Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023.
The advice document is non-statutory and replaces the HM Government Information sharing: advice for practitioners providing safeguarding services to children, young people, parents and carers published in July 2018.
The advice is for:
- all individuals who are directly involved in safeguarding children, including frontline practitioners, managers and senior leaders
- individuals and organisations that work with children, parents, carers and families, in sectors such as social care, education, health, justice and voluntary
The advice document provides useful advice on consent and re-emphasises that GDPR and Data Protection legislation is not a barrier to sharing information where there are safeguarding and child protection concerns and also emphasises that practitioners should be proactive and seek out relevant information from other practitioners and agencies or organisations to build an accurate picture of a child and the family’s life.
As you approach the end of term, if you have any children who have an open Early Help Assessment, who are transitioning to a new School or College, please remember to invite someone from the new School or College to your final TAF meeting and let parents know they will be attending. During the meeting discuss with the family the change of coordinator if you haven’t already done so.
After the meeting complete the online change of Coordinator form. Share any appropriate paperwork with the new coordinator. If you are to be the new coordinator, complete a new consent form with the family.
If you have been unable to have someone from the new School /College attending the meeting, please let them know you will be completing the change of coordinator form and share paperwork as appropriate.
If you have any questions about any of the above please contact your local Early Help Team, visit early Help Teams page on the CSCP website here.
