National lockdown

Stay home protect lives

National lockdown restrictions are now in force in England.

You must not leave or be outside of your home except where necessary.


Council services – closures and updates

The lockdown has had an impact on some council services and facilities:

Public buildings

Town Hall – closed until further notice

Community centres – open only for pre-school groups and crèches with existing bookings

Public toilets – closed except those next to the car park at Tilgate Park

Sport, leisure and play areas

The Hawth, K2 Crawley, Bewbush Centre Gym and Tilgate Nature Centre – closed until further notice

Maidenbower 3G pitch, playing fields, BMX track and skate park – closed until further notice

Tennis courts, multi-use games areas and outdoor gyms – closed

Council play areas – remain open, except Tilgate Park, Ninfield Court, Bewbush, one of the two at Southgate Playing Fields and Chichester Close, Tilgate

Adventure playgrounds – remain closed  

The Bandstand – not available to hire  

Services

Allotments – You can continue to work on your allotment

Snell Hatch and Little Trees cemeteries will remain open (daily, 10am-4pm) for burials, interments and those wishing to pay their respects

Waste and recycling collections continue – please check changes to your collection dates following the bank holiday.
