A regular update for providers and professionals about the changes we're making to how we work

We're making improvements to our internal finance systems. This means you will soon be able to:
- contact us directly about paying your fee
- see more detailed information on your invoice.
You currently need to contact NHS Shared Business Services (SBS) to make payments to CQC and can continue to do so throughout May. However, when we implement the planned changes in June, subject to successful completion of testing and ensuring we are ready for the changes, you'll be able to get in touch with us directly on payment-related queries.
Your invoice will be easier to understand. The details of what you owe, how it is calculated, and any outstanding fees will be made clearer so you can take necessary action quickly.
If you already have a direct debit set up for your fees, you don't need to take any action. If you have not got a direct debit in place, you can contact the Finance team at direct.debit@cqc.org.uk to set one up. Alternatively, you can make card payments or complete a bank transfer. We are no longer accepting cash, postal orders, or cheques.
We will soon confirm how and when you can start contacting us directly.
