We are sorry that due to issues with our new provider portal some of you are still unable to use it to undertake notification and registration activity.
We are working to implement fixes that resolve these issues and will let you know as soon as they are in place.
Until fixes to the portal are in place we are implementing a temporary process for providers who urgently need to undertake registration activity and cannot use the portal, see below for more information.
You can continue to submit notifications via email if you are unable to use the portal.
How to submit a registration application without using the provider portal
If you have not already, please try to sign up to our new provider portal and if you have trouble, please contact providerportalqueries@cqc.org.uk with an email subject of ‘issue submitting registration application’.
If your application is urgent and needs to take place within the next three months, please follow the below guidance.
By urgent we mean it meets one of the following criteria:
- A new Provider registration that needs to be operational within the next three months
- It is linked to a Sale and Transfer that is imminent
- increasing capacity in the health and social care system
Requesting Paper Based Application if unable to register via the Portal
- Contact hsca_applications@cqc.org.uk and by exception we will send you a paper based/word document application.
- If you have already submitted a paper application and this has been refused and the application is urgent meeting the above criteria, please let us know the Enquiry number and we can re-instate
- Send your application and any evidence to hsca_applications@cqc.org.uk
Evidence we need
If you need to start your service urgently, we need written evidence. This must be from either your:
- NHS trust
- integrated care board
- local authority
This evidence must:
- explain how the service will meet a critical capacity or urgent care need in their area
- be on official headed paper or sent from a gov.uk or NHS email address
We do not accept evidence from:
- individual social workers
- MPs or individual local councillors
Nor do we accept, as the only justification to prioritise an application:
- financial information from an accountant
- a provisionally-awarded contract from a local authority.
Thank you for your patience as we resolve these technical issues. We will be in touch via email when the required improvements have been made to the new provider portal.
