Our new campaign: Because we all care
We've teamed up with Healthwatch England and other health and care partners for our new campaign.
The Because we all care campaign calls on everyone to help shape health and social care by actively providing feedback on the care they receive.
The campaign aims to:
- help services identify and address quality issues
- support patients by encouraging people to share feedback on individual experience
New research shows nearly two thirds of people would support NHS and social care services by actively providing feedback on their care. People also say they are more grateful for their healthcare services since the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak

Adult inpatient survey: Find the results for your local trust
We asked over 75,000 people who stayed in hospital for at least one night during July 2019 about their care.
We found that the majority of people we asked were happy with the care they received, had confidence in the doctors and nurses treating them and felt their fundamental needs were met
But survey respondents were less positive about arrangements and information received when leaving hospital, and access to support and further services once at home. This was a particular concern for people who self-reported as being frail.

July's Coronavirus insight report
Our monthly COVID-19 Insight reports highlight the coronavirus-related pressures faced by the services we regulate.
This month's report looks at:
- better care through collaboration
- the importance of hearing concerns about the care people receive
- financial viability and stability in the adult social care sector
- the impact of coronavirus on the use of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
- the challenges faced by providers in protecting people's rights under the Mental Health Act
Finally, the report contains updated graphs and data.

CQC's online Pride celebrations
We weren't able to attend Pride celebrations in person this year, so we ran a virtual Pride instead.
Pride is important to us as it allows us to reach people who might not otherwise come into contact with us. We can find out about people's experiences of health and social care, and we also use Pride to talk about what it's like to be LGBT+ and working for CQC.

Our offices are closed – please do not send post
All of our offices are closed and our staff are working from home. This means that we are not able to receive post. If you need to contact us, you should do it online or by phone.
If you work for a health or social care service, do not send completed notification forms, including notifications of deaths, to us by post. These should be emailed to HSCA_notifications@cqc.org.uk.
If we have to issue a formal notice, we will contact the provider by phone to discuss. Providers are also reminded of their duty of care to people using their services. For those detained under the Mental Health Act, this may mean supporting people to access the internet or make phone calls if they ask to contact us.
