Correction & Update to our bulletin sent earlier today

We are sorry, but we need to update the information we provided in our earlier message today.

Since this was published the Chief Dental Officer has provided a further update for all dental practices   https://www.england.nhs.uk/coronavirus/publication/preparedness-letters-for-dental-care/

This advice makes it clear that routine dentistry and orthodontic treatment should no longer be provided. Urgent and emergency care will be based on telephone advice and prescription of analgesics or antibiotics as necessary.

In due course, local and regional hubs will be established where further clinical interventions may be provided.

As this change in service provision affects the whole of the dental sector it is NOT necessary for providers to notify us at this time, unless a service closure is permanent.

We are sure dental providers will make these changes and work to reduce the risks of Covid-19 infection across the population.
