GP inspections – what you need to know before we visit
As highlighted in our last bulletin, you can find all the information you need to know before we visit you for an inspection on our website here. This includes an example of the letter we will send you before we inspect, and the presentation we ask you to give at the beginning of an inspection. Fees consultation
We recently published our consultation about the fees we propose to charge registered providers in 2017/18. The proposals follow the plans we set out last year to continue to meet the Treasury’s requirement to recover our chargeable costs in full from providers. You can find the consultation document and how to respond using our online form, which is open until noon on 11 January 2017, by visiting our website.
Urgent and emergency care pilot
We’ve undertaken pilots in two areas that explore how CQC might comment on the quality of urgent and emergency care in a local health and care system. The findings will help inform our future approach – you can read the reports online here.
