We're inspecting Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust from 24 January 2017.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England. Our job is to check whether hospitals, care homes, GPs, dentists and services in your home are meeting national standards.

In January 2017 our inspectors will be undertaking a full targeted inspection which will be focusing on all the areas that were judged as requiring improvement at the last inspection which took place in March 2015. We will be looking at aspects of all the cores services with the exception of critical care which was judged as being outstanding at the last inspection. We will be visiting both the Gloucester and the Cheltenham sites.

CQC's last inspection

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is rated as requires improvement.

You can read the report from our last inspection, which took place in March 2015.

The feedback people gave us about their experiences of care before the last inspection was important and helped us to decide what to look at during our inspection.
