My diabetes, my care: Community diabetes care review

Confidential personal information

Dental operational protocol
As mentioned in our Deputy Chief Inspector’s column, earlier this month we began piloting a new dental operational protocol which has been developed by CQC, NHS England, the General Dental Council, and with the support of the NHS Business Services Authority. The protocol outlines key contacts in each organisation, and when and how CQC, NHS England and GDC will share information.
CQC Next Phase development
We are continuing to develop how we will approach our next phase of inspections next year. Over the last month we held a GP and dental co-production group which brought together people who use services, providers and other stakeholders to help inform those developments, particularly around the key lines of enquiry we use on inspections. We will update everyone on next steps with our developments later this year.
