The Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS) is a free service designed to help SMEs based in Coventry, Birmingham, Solihull, Sandwell, Dudley, Walsall or Wolverhampton, to save energy, reduce production costs and lower carbon emissions.
Register for a free BEAS energy assessment and receive a bespoke report following an on-site audit. The report will highlight practical opportunities to improve your business's energy efficiency, lower energy costs, and reduce carbon emissions
Even if your business has previously received a BEAS grant or energy audit, you may still be eligible for further support through the programme.
Whether you're thinking about starting a business, looking to grow an existing company, or exploring funding opportunities, the Coventry Local Enterprise Service is here to help.

As a valued local business in the city, we are excited to share that we are launching a new Go CV website in 2027.
Our goal is to create a platform that delivers even greater value to local businesses, and your insights will help us ensure it meets your needs. To help us improve, we would welcome your input in a quick 3-minute survey.
As a thank you for your time, every business that completes the survey will be automatically entered into a prize draw to win a FREE advert placement in our October Go CV newsletter promoting your business to thousands of Coventry residents.
Please submit your responses by 16 October to be in with a chance at winning the advert placement.
In this survey, we would love to know:
- What’s working well? What do you like most about advertising or partnering with Go CV?
- Where we can improve? What could be enhanced or done better?
- What you’d like to see? What new features, support, or marketing opportunities would best support your business?
Your honest feedback will directly shape our upcoming advertising packages and support initiatives for local businesses.

Talking about suicide can be difficult, but it's one of the most important conversations we can have.
We're pleased to invite you to our upcoming Workplace Wellbeing Award webinar with Jane Hannah from MHIB
Understanding suicide: opening up the conversation
This evidence-based session, grounded in the latest guidance and suicide research, will explore how we can all play a part in creating suicide-safer workplaces and communities. Attendees will gain practical knowledge, build confidence, and leave with a powerful message of hope: recovery is possible, and every conversation has the potential to save a life.
During this session, you'll learn how to:
- Understand the impact of suicide
- Challenge common myths and misconceptions about suicide
- Explore how thoughts and beliefs can contribute to stigma
- Recognise some of the signs and risk factors of suicide
- Develop the knowledge and confidence to respond to someone experiencing thoughts of suicide
- Help create supportive workplaces where people feel able to speak openly and seek help when they need it
Together, we can help break down stigma, encourage meaningful conversations, and create environments where people feel seen, heard and supported.
