Coventry’s new weekly food waste recycling service starts from the week beginning 7 September 2026.
Make the most of your new food waste bin by putting in everything from plate scrapings and eggshells to fruit and vegetable peelings, meat, fish, dairy products, teabags and coffee grounds.
Recycling your cooked and un-cooked food waste can:
- free up space in your other bins
- help reduce food waste
- generate renewable energy
Simply put your food waste bin out by 7am on collection day and help Coventry turn leftovers into something useful.
You don't need to use liners or bags, but if you do, compostable bags only please.
