Coventry City Council has a team of environmental compliance experts, providing specialist support to companies and organisations across the UK to help them meet their environmental obligations and achieve regulatory compliance.
They work with businesses of all sizes to help them comply with environmental legislation and regulations they need to follow. This includes organisation-specific environmental legislation registers and environmental legal compliance audits. As an additional service, they offer internal environmental auditing and training in spill response, duty of care, and environmental awareness. They can also help businesses achieve and maintain Environmental Management Systems in line with the ISO 14001 standard.
They help at every stage, from identifying legal and compliance obligations and developing environmental documentation to conducting internal audits and helping organisations prepare for certification.

Researchers from the University of Warwick are conducting a study funded by Coventry City Council to explore employer perspectives on skills, employability, and graduate pathways for students from local universities (Coventry University and the University of Warwick), with a particular focus on sustainability-related careers.
The survey will take approximately 8-10-minutes to complete. Your views can help inform understanding of employer perspectives relevant to what skills and experiences employers are looking for in sustainability-focussed organisations or job roles, and job sector perspectives on what influence students to leave or remain in Coventry to work after their studies.
Nominations are now open for business across Coventry and Warwickshire to apply to be awarded a Kings Award for Enterprise 2027.
The Kings Awards for Enterprise are for outstanding achievement by UK businesses in the categories of innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity through social mobility
The awards are the highest official UK awards for British businesses and winners receive some fantastic perks. However, they have also proven to have a marked effect on business growth and winners can benefit from:

England Touch is hosting the International Federation of Touch Rugby European Youth Championships, with the tournament taking place right here in Coventry at the University of Warwick .
This year’s competition will be the largest European Youth Championship ever staged. While the event brings together nations from across Europe, its reach extends even further, with teams travelling from as far afield as China to take part.
The scale of the event is impressive, with attendees expected to include:
- 48 teams
- 800 players
- 150 coaches and support staff
- 65 referees and match officials
- 100 event staff and volunteers
- 1,500–2,000 travelling supporters
