The Community Transport Association's Creating Connections research project is exploring how community transport can better meet the needs of disabled children and young people across the UK.
The CTA wants to hear from parents or carers of disabled children and young people (up to age 25) and young people aged 16-25 with lived experience of disability.
It wants to understand their travel experiences, including any barriers they face and how services can be improved. Feedback will directly help shape future guidance for community transport providers and stakeholders.

'Aquarius' Swim School are currently running a 13 week swimming course for children aged 4-12years (with parent/carer in the water) which started in April 2026.
This course aims to provide a calm and quiet swimming session for a peaceful learning environment. The session is guided by a fully qualified swimming teacher who'll help children build confidence, develop aquatic skills and explore the water at their own pace.

Did you know 'TeenVine' run development programmes for young people who have SEND?
'Teenvine Plus' is an intensive development programme for teens with autism or learning disabilities in Coventry. They help learning disabled youngsters to get the friendships, confidence and skills they need in order to mature into independent young adults able to achieve their ambitions (ages 13-18).
They also run 'Teenvine Plus Next Steps', which is an extension of the Teenvine Plus project, focusing on young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who are not engaging in education (ages 10-18).

The Coventry Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Local Offer brings together information for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and their families.
The SEND Local Offer will cover services available to the public across education, health and social care:
Education: such as nurseries, playgroups, schools and colleges as well as support services like Educational Psychology and SEN services
Health: children's and adult services including GPs, therapists and hospital services
Social care: such as short break services and children's and adult disability services.

www.coventryfamilies.co.uk is a website which can help you find information and support from a wide variety of services in the Coventry area for children and young people from 0-25yrs, including information around SEND.
The portals ‘children link’ can direct families to useful information on a range of topics related to children’s care, health and development as well as navigating families to the 'Coventry Information Directory' (via the ‘childcare’ tab) for information about childcare, activities and events across the city.
