After a month at Central Library the exhibition is now at Allesley Park Library.
Presented by China Plate and Coventry University, 'Humans Not Heroes' is a co-created series of 7 audio pieces made with artists and healthcare workers exploring their experiences of the Covid pandemic. Participants were from a variety of roles and experiences, from up and down the country.
These pieces are emotive and designed to be intimate listening experiences. You can either listen to them online here from the comfort of your own home or pop into Allesley Park Library until the end of April to sit down and listen to the artworks in the mobile listening station. Each audio artwork is BSL interpreted and captioned.
Alongside the creation of the artworks, China Plate worked with Coventry University to research and recommend ways to improve compassion and wellbeing within the workplace and advocate for healthcare workers to be treated as individuals. The findings from this research are available to read online.
We hope you will join us in visiting to experience 'Humans Not Heroes'.
