Coventry City Council is asking the community about active travel journeys, the barriers people face, and preferences for different types of cycle route. This work will shape the council’s emerging infrastructure plan, and help prioritise future projects. The survey is open until 22 March - please could you share this link with your families for them to complete.

Coventry and Warwickshire Boys' Impact Hub
After a successful launch event in January the C&W Boys' Impact Hub now has over 90 members. If you would like to be part of the network please complete this form.
We will be meeting once a term to network, share good practice and there will also be opportunities to be involved in projects and professional development linked to working with boys and young men. One of these opportunities is for all schools to access the Progressive Masculinity training with Mike Nicholson on Thursday 30 April.

Peer Assisted Learning Strategies
Nottingham Trent University and the University of Birmingham are working together to trial a reading comprehension and fluency approach entitled Peer Assisted Learning Strategies (PALS-UK) in the academic year of 2026/2027. Primary schools in Coventry can sign up online to find out more about taking part in the PALS-UK effectiveness trial with year 5 classes.

West Midlands Violence Reduction Partnership
County Lines and Exploitation Awareness training schedule - 23 February to 27 February. This awareness training programme aims to develop and improve our understanding of the threat from County Lines and Criminal Exploitation. All sessions are free of charge to attend and will be delivered via Microsoft Teams.

Origin Maths Hub
- The Developing Secondary Teaching for Mastery Work Group supports departments to embed Teaching for Mastery across Key stages 3 and 4. Participants will have the opportunity to work in groups of local schools, observe lessons and plan collaboratively.
- We have a fantastic opportunity for primary teachers to develop their mathematics subject knowledge and pedagogy so that they can best understand, teach and support all pupils in shape and space.
Coventry and Central Warwickshire Teaching School Hub
We work as a Lead Partner with the University of Warwick to train new entrants to the teaching profession. As a Lead Partner, we recruit to Warwick's programme, working collaboratively with the schools in our partnership.
We are always keen to grow our partnership and would love to hear from schools who are passionate about training the next generation of educators.
