Welcome to your first Cycle Coventry newsletter of 2026. We bring you an update on adult and child cycle training sessions, plus 3 opportunities to have your say.
You may remember our Let's Talk Movement survey last year.
Lots of people told us about wanting to be active more but not being able to for whatever reason. We now want to find out about how much of your movement is active travel – meaning walking, wheeling and cycling – and to understand more about what can be done to support you doing this more.
What you tell us will help shape future plans for walking, wheeling and cycling in Coventry. These plans will be embedded in our Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan.
If your little one has got a new bike for Christmas, or just wants to improve their riding skills, our children's sessions are returning from Tuesday 27 January. Sessions are aimed at children aged 5 to 13. All equipment is provided, including bikes and helmets. Sessions are held outdoors.

The University of Birmingham is running another community focus group, to hear about the lived experience of the communities along Binley Cycleway. The event takes place on 5 February (6pm to 8.30pm) in central Coventry. Participants will receive a £30 voucher as compensation for their time. To sign up, please email the team at University of Birmingham.
It's not too late to have your say on Coventry City Council's budget for 2026 to 2027. But hurry, as the consultation closes on 28 January.
