Hello and welcome to the December edition of the CSCP newsletter. The work of the partnership has the city's children at its heart and we hope to provide you, our safeguarding professionals, with as much support and information as possible to help you do your incredibly important jobs.
Please do let us know what you think of the items in the newsletter and we can then look to provide you with what you need in future updates.
I hope you have a great Christmas and New Year.
Best wishes, Derek

Coventry Children’s Services & Coventry Youth Partnership have teamed up to create a document around language.
This document has been created to show some of the words, phrases and acronyms that young people in Coventry have said they do not want professionals to use, and some suggested alternatives.
As the weather gets colder, kids and teens might enjoy spending more time at home and, as they grow, start wanting a bit more independence.
The NSPCC have created some guidance for parents and carers around leaving children at home alone and things to be aware of.
They will also have access to a quiz, and some top tips.
Please share this link far and wide with parents & carers.
