Coventry City Council is investigating the potential to introduce secure cycle parking in Coventry city centre. We want to explore the views of people who travel into and within the city centre and have launched an online survey. The survey is being run on the Council’s behalf by independent transport consultancy, SYSTRA.
You have until Sunday 16 March 2025 to take part. Your feedback is valuable and may help influence the development of safer, more secure cycle parking.
This survey is funded by the Active Travel Capability and Ambition Fund.
Did you know that cycles can be a mobility aid?
Midland Mencap's free "Cycle with Confidence" course at Longford Park means you can enjoy the benefits of cycling even if two wheel cycles aren't for you. You can try their range of adapted cycles and tricycles, and enjoy the outdoors while building confidence.
The course runs every Wednesday until 2 April. Sessions must be booked with Midland Mencap.
This service is funded by Active Travel Fund (tranche 2).
Do you love cycling and want to share this with your community? The British Cycling Community Activator Course may be just for you.
This course is aimed at community leaders, meaning people who take an active role in local clubs, voluntary organisations, or religious groups.
The training includes a one-day in-person session with additional on-line learning. The course will help you develop the skills to run small cycling events in your local park or open space.
Sessions will run in Canley and Foleshill in April. Dates to be confirmed. Places are limited.
This service is funded by Active Travel Fund (tranche 2).
If you are interested in volunteeering, check out British Cycling's Volunteer Development Plan 2025-29.
Volunteering opportunities are available across the following roles:
- Coaching
- Event officials
- Community cycling
Even if the Community Activator route is not for you, volunteering at a local club or event may be for you?
