Our popular and FREE programme of adult cycle training continues throughout the winter...
West Midlands Police has made cycle security a key priority. Ensure you protect your bike by following these helpful 10 steps.
Police officers will be providing bike security markings and advice at Canley Community Centre on 13 and 26 November (10am - 2pm). These events are part of Cycling UK's series of Doctor Bike maintenance clinics.
As the nights draw in, make sure you know the law on lights when cycling. Cycling UK has put together some helpful advice to help you understand what you need to do to stay safe and within the law.
If you need new lights, why not visit your local bike shop?
We're excited that construction on the new segregated cycleway along London Road has recently started. The section being built is between Asda roundabout and the new junction at Abbey Road.
Thank you for your patience while these works take place.
When complete, London Road cycleway will connect Asda roundabout to Tollbar island, providing a link for people in Whitley and Willenhall to jobs around Coventry Airport.
The scheme is part of a wider Coventry South Transport Package, which will also deliver a segregated cycleway between Asda roundabout and Binley Cycleway, along Humber Road, providing a connection right into the city centre and serving the communities in Stoke Aldermoor, Lower Stoke and Hillfields along the way.
Works to widen and improve paths on Greyfriars Green are nearing completion. Our team has finished widening the path between Starley Statue and Friargate Boulevard, and now work is taking place to improve paving around the Starley Statue and creating the new link to Queen Victoria Road.
The work is part of the City Centre Cycleway, and is funded by Sustrans under the Cycle Rail programme.
The new paths are shared use, so please ride considerately around people walking or wheeling.
Thank you for your patience while these works take place.
The Station Square cycle parking hub at the rail station has reopened after repair works. To use the facility, you must register for a fob at the ticket office.
The Warwick Road cycle hub continues to operate as normal, with no barrier system in operation.
If you don't have access to the cycle hub yet, why not try riding to the station on a West Midlands Cycle Hire bike? There are two docking stations near the station, including one right out the front entrance. You can cycle in from local areas including Coundon, Spon End, Stoke, Hillfields or around the University of Warwick Campus or across the City Centre. Both electric and pedal bikes are available for short periods, with no contract and no obligation! You just need a smart phone app and a bank card. There is even the option to apply for 300 free minutes if you are on a low income or meet other eligibility criteria.
