Festival of Christmas
A glistening big wheel and Christmas market are set to return to Broadgate as part of the city’s Christmas offer.
The big wheel will be open from Friday 15 November for both adults and children to ride throughout the day and into the evening, whilst market stalls selling a range of festive food, drinks and gifts will be in place in Broadgate too.
Festive lights will be on in the city centre on the same day, ahead of a magical free family event, the Festival of Christmas.
The Festival of Christmas will take place on the evening of Wednesday 20 November, the same date that sees the start of late-night shopping in Coventry. Details are yet to be revealed but visitors can expect a trail of festivities in locations around the city centre from 4pm – 9pm.

 Coventry Peace Festival
Coventry’s annual Peace Festival returns this month promoting the city’s ongoing work of peace, tolerance and friendship. The city is well known around the world as a welcoming place and also as the city of peace and reconciliation.
The festival highlights Coventry’s role as a City of Peace and Reconciliation – for which it is recognised internationally – and runs from 1 to 14 November.
Many events and activities that are on offer for adults and children are free to attend and will be held both in the city centre and other areas across Coventry.

 Coventry Half Marathon and 10K
Sunday 27 April 2025
Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All is set to bring a brand new race to Coventry. Taking place on the same day as the Coventry Half Marathon, the 10K distance will launch in the city in 2025.
Entries are now open for participants to compete in the Coventry 10K on Sunday 27 April, which will see the half marathon start at 9am, followed by the inaugural 10K at 9.30am as the two form the Coventry Running Festival.
