In this issue:
*please note a slight amendment to the additional licensing scheme end date.
In May 2020, we introduced a City-wide additional house in multiple occupation (HMO) licensing scheme, to ensure residents who live in this sector live in safe and well-maintained homes.
The current additional HMO licensing designation in Coventry is due to come to an end on 4 May 2025 and therefore, a new scheme is being proposed to replace this. If approved, this will start on 5 May 2025.
We propose to start consulting on the new scheme and this consultation will be starting on the 26 February 2024 and ending on 17 May 2024.
We’d like to hear your thoughts on the scheme renewal and to do so we will be holding various events throughout this time, including ward drop-in sessions throughout the city, which can be seen below. Sessions will run between 4:40pm and 6:30pm. Please feel free to attend any session that is convenient with regards time and/or location.
We have also set up a dedicated web site which will go live on 27 February where you can find more details of the proposals and complete our online questionnaire.
