In this issue:
As previously advertised the council is jointly hosting a landlords forum with the NRLA on the 19 September 2023 at Coventry Rugby Club with delegate registration from 6pm.
Tickets can be obtained, free of charge, from the NRLA.
Book your tickets.
We ask that people approach for tickets as soon as possible as numbers are limited. The meeting will feature a presentation on the councils licensing scheme consultation along with other features and a great opportunity for networking.
We have updated our licensing process as of 1 September 2023. We have made the below changes:
- We have changed our representations period when issuing an intention to grant a licence. We have changed the representations period from 21 days to 14 days. When you receive an intention to grant a licence paperwork you will now only have 14 days to make representations about that licence. This change will help us to process licences quicker.
- We have altered the format of the front page of HMO Licences that are sent out with a notice of the decision to grant a licence paperwork. The Licence holder and manager’s address will be no longer be displayed on the Licence. Therefore, there will be no need to request a variation application if the address changes. However, please note that you will still be required to inform the Council about a change of correspondence address.
If your licence currently displays the address, then you will still need to submit a variation application when changes need to be made. However, we will update licences to the new format on renewal or variation.
We want to work with you to improve housing in the city. If you want to get in touch with any questions please, contact the team:
