Go CV 100K Takeover Day at Sports Fest 2023

Thank you to everyone who visited us for the Go CV 100K celebrations during Sports Fest last week.  We all had a great time and there were loads of lucky winners of our competitions and giveaways - please check your inbox (including junk/spam) to see if that's you 🥳

Our ⭐ prize winner was Richard from Holbrooks who won a StayPlayExplore family break.

There were 219 keyrings in the jar! Shilpa from Cheylesmore and Sazid in the city centre both guessed 220, so thanks to our colleagues at The Wave Waterpark they both won a family session. 🌊

The Lunt Roman Festival

Saturday 26 & Sunday 27 August 2023 | 10.00am – 4.00pm

Join the Lunt’s most spectacular event of the year when the fort comes to life! Marvel at displays from living history re-enactment groups, take to the field as part of our interactive battle drill and explore our Roman village.

Refreshment is available from Tapas Zampa Street food, The Ice Cream Centre, and Cooper’s Cocktails! Plus, replica Roman goods will be on sale in our living history village!

Bands in the Park

The series of events take place over the summer months in many of Coventry's beautiful parks. There's a variety of music from brass bands to acoustic bands. There is something for all the family to enjoy on a relaxing summer Sunday afternoon and all for free.

The events will take place on Sundays from 2pm to 3.30pm unless otherwise stated, weather permitting.

Chairs are available from the Rangers at these events but feel free to bring your own (and perhaps a picnic) and enjoy the lovely atmosphere.

The next event is Sunday 13 August in the War Memorial Park. 

Family Adventures at Coventry Transport Museum

This summer, step back in time at The Coventry Transport Museum, home to the world’s largest collection of British road cars from the past 150 years! This collection includes notable vehicles, including the ‘Barbie car’, Diana’s metro, the Thrust SSC (and 4D simulator!) as well as an array of interactive exhibits!

What's more, entry into the museum is FREE for all Coventry residents with a Go CV card!

But that’s not all - their children’s activities are now FREE! Get ready to explore the world of open play with Mini Museum Engineers, Family Museum Engineers, Chat and Play, and Tinker | Make | Play family sessions.

West Orchards Dino Trail and Activities

The dinosaurs have escaped! Grab a Dino Trail Passport and hunt them down for the chance to be entered into a competition to win £100. Running through to Sunday 10 September.

Music and Merriment at St Mary’s Guildhall

Families are being invited to dance like it is the Tudor times or behave like a jester as a historic Coventry attraction celebrates the summer holidays with an exciting programme of medieval music, dance and games.

Music and Merriment runs until 3 September 2023, with the Jester School running to Wednesday 30 August, with sessions every hour from 10:30am to 12:30pm with the last session at 2pm.
