Your Voice Matters is a chance for students to get involved in a discussion around Safeguarding within the local area, through discussion groups held in schools between Partnership representatives and students.
This is a fantastic opportunity for Children and Young People to discuss what they understand about safeguarding and whether they have any concerns within their area. From these discussions we are able to discuss any findings with the responsible partners and help amend any issues that may be arising.
To get your school involved, email:

Child Friendly Cov is about us all working together as partners, ensuring that we always keep children and young people at the heart of what we do as a whole city.
On 15 February 2023, children and young people from schools across Coventry met with Council representatives, business leaders and professionals from across the partnership to celebrate the launch of Child Friendly Cov.
Children and young people have told us what they want Child Friendly Cov to look like, and this has led to four key pledges which underpin this project.
These are that children and young people in Coventry should always:
|
In order for Child Friendly Cov to be a success, and for Coventry to be the best city in the UK for children and young people to live and grow up in, we need to work together, to ensure that Coventry is a place where children and young people are valued, supported and enjoy themselves.
Organisations from across the city have already pledged their commitment to supporting Child Friendly Cov, and you are able to do the same by registering your support through the Child Friendly Cov website: www.childfriendlycov.co.uk

New fund to help those struggling with energy bills or heating issues.
Thanks to support from Coventry Building Society, local energy experts Act on Energy has got a new funding pot to help people across Coventry who may be struggling with their energy bills or perhaps need help towards repair, servicing or replacement boilers and heating systems.
The new scheme called Coventry Energy Fund is designed to help those who
- Live in Coventry
- Have a combined gross household income of less than £30,000 a year
- Have no household savings
- Have someone living with a vulnerability (such as a long term health condition like COPD; pregnancy; disabled and in receipt of DLA or PIP or in receipt of free school meals). There is some discretion to this part of the scheme so it’s well worth checking to see if you qualify.
Applicants will be required to provide evidence of their customer account with their energy or water provider
Local energy advice charity, Act on Energy, is administering the scheme and you can apply online.
You can also call our freephone advice line for more info on 0800 988 2881.
