Welcome to our Green Business Programme newsletter!
This month we organised a very interesting webinar which discussed solar PV options for businesses. This webinar brought together a panel of local experts who explained how solar PV works, what are the challenges and how to overcome them.
We have also published a new podcast episode and announced the first details our next Green Business event.
So far, in the phase two of the programme (2019 -2023) we have awarded £2,563,384 in grants to local SMEs and we have saved 3,268 tonnes of carbon.
We are currently processing the last claims and unfortunately we can’t accept any new applications.
We have applied for new funding and we are awaiting a decision. We'll let you know about any new funding or support as soon as we have more information.

On 29 March we organised a webinar titled “Everything about solar” which was delivered in partnership with Soar Edge, Ineco Energy, Stratford Energy Solutions. The webinar also featured the Solar PV journey of Wickman, a Coventry-based business, who took advantage of the Green Business Programme grants and expertise.

Carbon Accounting for Businesses
In this episode, we discuss what carbon accounting is, how businesses can start their net zero journey and overcome the challenges they might face along the way.
In the first part of this episode, we talk to Lara Longhurst, Chief Operations Officer at Hippo Digital. Lara shares with us their journey towards achieving net zero and talks about the support they have received from Coventry University through their Carbon Accounting Programme.
In the second part, we talk to Prof. Carl Perrin, Director of the Centre for Clean Growth and Future Mobility, and Dr Lorena C. Moreira, Engineer and Senior Researcher at the Centre for Manufacturing and Materials, Coventry University.
