Becoming more energy efficient and cutting down on wastage has become a priority for all businesses after the huge energy price hikes we've seen this year. In this session we will explain how insulation, lighting and heating can be optimised in order to achieve maximum efficiency and reduce the cost of your bills.
Join us and learn more about heating, lighting and insulation and how our programme could offer grants of up to £50K towards these improvements.
Heat pumps: powering up the decarbonisation
In the first part of this episode we speak to Bean Beanland, Director for Growth & External Affairs at the Heat Pump Federation, about how heat pumps work, how they can benefit SMEs, and most importantly the role they play in the fight against climate change.
In the second part we speak to Chris Dooling, Managing Director at VWG Mechanical and Kyle Grocott, Managing Director at Phoenix Renewables, part of Phoenix Gas Works. VWG Mechanical and Phoenix Renewables have been commissioned (following procurement process) to install heat pumps at the following council-owned buildings: Limbrick Wood, Mosaic Family Hub, Central Library and Cannon Park School. This work will result in a reduction of 139 tonnes of CO2 per year. Chris and Kyle will explain us what challenges they've faced during the installation process and how they have overcome them.

Renewable energy and green transport
Our latest webinar, held on 4 May, discussed how renewable energy is a powerful source of hope not only for the fight against climate change, but also for the pressure imposed by high energy prices.
In this session we also discussed Coventry's Transport Strategy and what changes are happening around the city in this sector.
If you've missed this session you can find the recoding and copy of the presentations on our website.
If you are a member of the Green Business Network, and you are based in Coventry or Warwickshire, we can send you a certificate which confirms your membership and your efforts to become greener.
These certificates are free of charge, but any mentions of our programme on social media would be much appreciated!
Email maria.covlea@coventry.gov.uk or greenbusiness@coventry.gov.uk to request your personalised certificate.
