Virtual Everest

Everest

Journey to the top of the world in Everest VR, a virtual reality experience now showing at Coventry Libraries.

Witness what it’s like to be engulfed in an avalanche, cross a crevasse and stare deep in its depths, take a huge rock-climbing fall, camp under the stars, and soak in the view from the Top of the World.

Drop in to Central, Bell Green, Foleshill or Tile Hill Library, put on a VR headset, and go on an adventure!

For more information, contact your local library, or go online.

Dementia Action Week - 16-22 May

Dementia

This Dementia Action Week, visit any Coventry Library or look online to see some of the resources we have, e.g.

Reading Well for Dementia Collection

Reading Well Books on Prescription for dementia recommends books you might find helpful if you have dementia, are caring for someone with dementia, or want to find out more about the condition. The books include information and advice, help after diagnosis, practical support for carers and personal stories. The books are endorsed by health experts.

Playlist for Life

Playlist for Life harnesses the powerful effects of personal music to help anyone who is affected by dementia, their families and carers. Whether it’s the music from a first dance, lullabies from childhood or a theme tune from a favourite TV show, music has the ability to take us back in time and remind us of our past, giving you that flashback feeling. Sharing your songs and memories can help people living with dementia connect with family, friends and carers.

Coventry Libraries are help points.
