Ride Anywhere Week 21-27 March is designed to get you achieving more by bike!

In this issue:


Learn the Art of Cycle Maintenance

Get a free introduction to cycle maintenance if you live work or study in Coventry. The practical hands-on training session helps you gain skills for your leisure or commuting rides. The 2 hour class in the city centre covers:

  • Bike Check
  • Gear check
  • Tyre punctures and management
  • Gear tune up
  • Brake tune up

Booking is essential. Choose an afternoon or evening session.

Binley Cycleway Begins

Work has started on the 6km Binley cycleway running from the east of the city that will provide a boost to sustainable travel options in the region, enabling more people to cycle on their journeys.  The segregated cycle route will allow people to safely travel by bike from the city centre to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire via the Binley Business Park on Harry Weston Road.

Cycle Hire Celebrates 1st Birthday

Celebrate one year of Cycle Hire with 50% off minute bundles until 13 March. As always, with minute bundles you save on the unlock fee making it even more affordable to explore or enjoy a commute. Over 64,000 people have cycled on the bikes so far, if you’re not one of them, what are you waiting for? Have your say on Transport strategy by 13 March

A draft transport strategy for the city has been developed. The strategy sets out how the Council will work with its partners to ensure that Coventry is a city where it is easy, convenient, and safe to walk, cycle and travel on public transport, including measures like a network of fully segregated cycleways. Please take a look and complete the online survey by 13 March.

More cycle training sessions for adults (16+) are taking place this month in the city centre, Coundon and Canley.

Big Walk and Wheel - Schools Challenge

Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel

Schools can still sign up for the UK’s largest inter-school cycling, walking, wheeling and scooting challenge. Join in the Big Walk and Wheel between 21 March and 1 April to be in with a chance of winning fabulous prizes every day.


Wheels for All - Sunday 27 March

The monthly indoor cycling sessions at Centre AT7 are suitable for the whole family with a range of adapted bikes suitable for all ages and abilities. Find out more or email to book.
