Latest update on bin lorry driver strike

We have been notified by Unite that their strike involving bin lorry drivers has been postponed until the week starting 4 January 2022.

Coventry Railway Station update

The new station building, multi-storey car park, and taxi drop off point at the Coventry Railway station will now open in the New Year.

Planning documents on affordable homes, energy use and open space open to consultation

Coventry City Council is seeking feedback on draft Planning Policy documents that will add further detail to the policies of the Local Plan.

Council challenges government to stay true to its ‘levelling up’ funding claim

Coventry is among a cross-party group of 30 of the lowest funded councils across the country that has joined forces to call for a £300 million temporary fix to ‘level up’ local government finance.

Coventry and Warwickshire come together to support 16 Weeks of Action against sexual assault and abuse

A new campaign began on 13 December to raise awareness of the support services across Coventry and Warwickshire for sexual assault and abuse.

What to do if you feel unwell, or live with someone who is unwell

Stay at home if you have either:

  • A high temperature – you feel hot to touch on your chest or back
  • A new, continuous cough – this means you've started coughing repeatedly
  • Loss or change in sense or smell or taste
