Coventry Food Network is a partnership of statutory, voluntary and private organisations who are working together to build a ‘A food resilient city in Coventry where nobody goes hungry’.

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, additional food hubs were set up throughout the city to ensure that food was available to those who were in greatest need.

The Food Hubs offer a range of community-based support, including: HAF Summer activities for children and Foodbank.

Christmas can be a difficult time for many, now more than ever we need your support so that we can bulk purchase non-donated food items and support families over Christmas.

Also, throughout December we would appreciate your support in our Reverse Advent Calendar which is a great way to support our food hubs.

For every day in December we have selected an item for you to donate (in the below calendar).

When you are preparing for Christmas or doing your weekly shop, why not put a few items aside for those in the local community who are most in need? We will be very happy with any donations we receive. Once you have collected all of your items, put them in a bag or a box, clearly marked for the "Send your love this Christmas" and bring to one of the drop-off points below.

Alongside a food and drink market housed in festive cabins, Coventry BID is helping to illuminate the city centre this year, including a curtain of lights adorning the side of Cathedral Lanes displaying a free hourly light show every evening in the run up to Christmas.

You'll find a sea of lights across the city’s main streets and areas. Coventry BID lights up Upper Precinct, Smithford Way and Market Way alongside Coventry’s official Christmas lights including a glittery canopy of star-themed lights in Broadgate.

The Cathedral Lanes lights will display a show every hour, on the hour, from 4pm to 8pm every day right up to Christmas Eve (24 December) so families can enjoy the lights after work, tuck into Christmas fare at the festive food market and do some late-night shopping on Wednesdays in the run-up to Christmas.

Coventry BID’s festive cabins, which supplement the offering from traders in Hertford Street, will offer mulled wine, hot chocolate, burgers, fancy fries and other festive food, as well as fire pits to toast marshmallows. Some are also being offered to local traders and craft businesses.

MotoFest invites you to join friends, family, neighbours and fellow Coventry residents for an evening of Christmas Carols under the Whittle Arches in the heart of Coventry City Centre.
