Rugby League World Cup 2021 (RLWC2021) have confirmed the dates for the tournament that will now take place between Saturday 15 October – Saturday 19 November 2022.
Cllr Kamran Caan, Cabinet Member for Public Health and Sport, said: "I am thrilled that the Rugby League World Cup Team have secured the dates for the postponed matches in 2022."

Sports Fest was once again a huge success, with over 10,000 residents having a go at sport during the festival.
The free, six-day event provided for all abilities and ages and was focused on getting people active.
The event saw sports and activities from Coventry Dynamite Cheer, Positive Youth Foundation, British Cycling, Midland Mencap, Coventry Wheelchair Basketball Academy, Tribe Cheer and more.
Sports Fest was also honoured to have the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games team and their mascot, Perry at the event, alongside Olympic Bronze medallist and Coventrian, Chelsie Giles, who attended the event to meet residents of the city and enjoy the Birmingham 2022 Takeover Day.

The Coventry Sports Challenge with Cash for Kids came to an end this month, with a total of £47,239.51 raised by the seven clubs, which were:

Each club individually raised a fantastic amount. The clubs finishing in the top three were Coventry Dynamite Cheer in first place, raising £11,510.30, Central Galaxy Coventry Trampoline Club in second place, raising £7,477.10 and City of Coventry Trampoline Club (The Cube) in third place, raising £6,371.25.
The funds raised will be used to help disadvantaged children in Coventry get involved in physical activity.

The Go Parks: Active Schools Challenge is back with a culture special!
To celebrate Coventry’s UK City of Culture 2021 status, the Challenge will this time have a cultural twist. Not only will schools be getting active by using parks in the city, but also by taking part in, and visiting, cultural activities and venues.
This time all entrants are required to become a Go CV member if they are not already in order to enter and vote for their local school.
The Challenge will start on 27 September 2021, for four weeks full of fun, flash challenges and physical activity.
Activities, parks and cultural venues will all be announced soon.
