More events and extra tickets are released tomorrow as part of the Terry Hall Present Home Sessions.

Go CV+ members receive an exclusive discount of up to 50% off on tickets - a max of four Go CV+ tickets per event applies on a first come first served basis, so you need to be quick!

Register or login to your UK City of Culture account or download the 'app' on Apple and Android to see what’s on, book tickets, and unlock priority booking and exclusive experiences by earning Cov Points when booking tickets, attending events and taking part in activities. Remember to link your Go CV card number into your UK City of Culture account.  You can find your card number under 'My card' when logged in to your Go CV account.

Also open now, Assembly Festival Garden is home to a mouth-watering selection of local food makers, four extraordinary performance spaces and will serve as a social hub for those wishing to make the most of their visit to the UK’s City of Culture.  Full details can be found on City of Culture website.

Did you enjoy watching Wimbledon and fancy a game of tennis?

There's another free weekend of tennis at the War Memorial Park for all Go CV cardholders coming later this month, so get your racquets ready!

Sessions available to book now on a first come first served basis, so you need to be quick. Courts 1 to 4 only.

Sports Fest 2021

Once again, Go CV will be supporting Sports Fest this summer. 

The annual event will take place in Coventry city centre from 27 July to 1 August from 10am to 4pm each day. 

The event will have free activities and will feature a wide range of sport and wellbeing activities that are suitable for all ages and abilities. You’ll be in for six full days of sport and physical activity from a range of Coventry’s fantastic clubs and groups, plus a few special appearances that will be announced soon.

West Midlands Police Museum

Police

West Midlands Police have opened a pop-up museum to celebrate Coventry’s policing history.  The museum, at new premises in Hertford Street, houses some of the historical artefacts from West Midlands Police. Items on display include an old uniform and kit such as handcuffs, radios and truncheons.

It tells some of the incredible stories of the officers and staff who have served in Coventry over the years - inspiring accounts of trailblazing people, acts of bravery and innovation.  

The museum is now open from 10am to 3pm, every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The 'Unplug and Play' events feature Wild Wednesdays to immerse yourself in nature, and Crafty Thursdays packed full with arts and crafts.  Finally there are all-day workshops with different artists to unlock your imagination.  All perfect for family fun this summer. 

They are open Wednesdays to Sundays only from 10.30am to 3.30pm

Lunt Roman Fort - reopens 3 August

Take the chance to play Roman ball games, board games and explore this unique, historic site as you complete a fun discovery trail.

Encounter our costumed Roman soldiers, who will share fascinating facts about the fort, and challenge your children (and their accompanying adults) to some inquisitive thinking about what they can discover as they uncover the history and hidden secrets of this 2000-year-old fortress.  

Charges apply (under 4s free) and tickets must be booked in advance.

The Herbert - Crafting Coventry's History 

Join an exciting discovery of Coventry’s diverse and inspiring past.

From Lady Godiva to Medieval Coventry, the Tudor Times, the Victorians, the Second World War and 2 Tone. Coventry is the UK City of Culture 2021, making this an even greater and exciting time to learn about the city’s thriving past and pioneering people.

These popular workshops are fantastic for encouraging creative minds and enhancing the skills of budding artists. A member of our Learning Team will be on hand to help, give advice and encourage your children during this 90-minute workshop. All creations can be taken home with you on the day.  

Fees apply, which include one free accompanying adult. Suitable for ages 5+ and book tickets in advance.

Bands in the Park 2021

The Bands in the Park series of events takes place in some of Coventry’s beautiful parks during the summer months.

These popular events for all the family will be back in 2021 after the pandemic prevented last year’s programme from taking place.

The free events will be held safely between mid-July and September following government guidance applicable at the time of the events.

The first weekend is Sunday 25 July and details of dates, parks and bands are due to be announced on the website soon.

Coventry Music Museum

Ghost Town

The Coventry Music Museum is home to the original Ghost Town car (as seen in the chart-topping video for the song) and the very organ Jerry Dammers wrote and recorded the Ghost Town song on. Plus, hundreds of other unique 2-Tone items and showcases of many other musical giants that have come out of this UK City of Culture.  2021 will be the 40th anniversary of probably the most famous song to come out of the city, namely ‘Ghost Town’.

This exciting new “Ghost Town 2 Host Town” exhibition will track the city and its boom time in its post-Second World War days.
