Go CV - system upgrade

System upgrade

Dear Go CV member

We’ve been busy making some changes to our systems to make your customer experience even better.

What is different?

  • You can now view your Go CV card on your phone or mobile device, when logged into your account, and use it at venues.  This is great news if you can’t lay your hands on your plastic card after lockdown!
  • If you created an account and never managed to collect a card, the new system has created a virtual card for you and this number can be seen in your account and viewed on your mobile device.
  • When logged in to your account, you can clearly see from both the 'home' screen and on your virtual card what level of discount you are eligible for:
    • [0] means that action is required to update your account. You will not be able to receive any discounts until this has been done.
    • [1] means you are eligible for standard Go CV discount (Coventry resident)
    • [2] means you are a Coventry resident with the highest Go CV+ level of discount
    • You can also clearly see any members of your created group and their level of discount too.
  • You can now validate your account online by securely uploading copies of your documents.

What to do next?

  1. Log into your account and check your details are correct and up to date. Your login details will remain the same as previously. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it.
  2. The first time you login in, a pop-up will appear to update your marketing preferences and personal details such as gender, ethnicity and telephone number.  The Go CV Privacy Notice and Terms of Use have not changed.
  3. Check if your account is fully validated as expiry dates that were extended due to the pandemic have now been reinstated and could result in you losing your account.
  4. Check to see if you are eligible to receive Go CV+ as this also applies to students, carers, young people in full-time education as well as those receiving benefits.
  5. If there is anything that needs to be validated it will show as ‘pending’.  If you need to provide proof, upload a copy of the relevant document in ‘My Account’.
  6. Once your account is validated, you can see what level of discount you have (either 1 or 2).
  7. If you prefer to have a physical card you can either carry on using your existing plastic card or collect a new one from any sign-up or collection centre. If you collect a new card, remember to update your account so the 16 digit number matches the number on the new card. Don’t forget, each member of your family will need their own Go CV card number. If you forget to enter the new number, it may affect your discount.

Now you're all set you can start checking the offers and discounts to see how you can save on your favourite local attractions!  Make sure you tick the box in marketing preferences to be the first to find out about any new offers, priority bookings or competitions by email.
