The EU Settlement Scheme application deadline is fast approaching for EEA nationals, their family members and carers, to make an application to secure their right to live, work and access some services beyond 30 June 2021.
Posters are available below which outline how to make a referral and access EUSS application support drop-ins which will be delivered across different community venues in Coventry. Drop-ins will be delivered almost every week up until 30 June 2021.
We also have published guidance for EEA nationals, employers and landlords, and frontline/Council staff around new rules. The website has BrowseAloud function which translates the text in various languages.

The launch of the Coventry Family Valued programme will take place at the end of April. This will be a virtual event and will provide an opportunity to hear about the programme, what it will include and how it will affect you and the children and families who you work with.
Coventry Family Valued - Launch
Please book through Eventbrite, the launch will be repeated on 27 and 28 April.
The June 2021 multiplication tables check (MTC) is optional for schools who choose to administer the check to some or all of their year 4 pupils.
Schools can now access MTC service through DfE Sign-in to:
- check their pupil register and ensure all participating pupils are included
- allow pupils to use the try it out check to familiarise themselves with the format and see if access arrangements meet their needs
- record any pupils who will not take the check
Approvers within DfE Sign-in may wish to give other school staff access to the MTC service. For further information on creating an account and managing users, please see the DfE Sign-in guidance. We have published administration guidance and a video to support participating schools.
The MTC administration window is from Monday 8 June to Friday 25 June. We strongly encourage schools to administer the check within the first two weeks. This will leave the final week for pupils who were absent or in case of any delays to administration.
Kevin Coughlan has now shared the form with all schools. This is what was agreed at Primary and Secondary Joint steering groups as the only form required to be completed for transition in Coventry. Initial information to be completed by Friday 21 May. We are aware that there have been access issues and the data team will share guidance and further information shortly.
With regards to attainment information and Voice of the Child project - we will send an update next week.
Think Active have been successful in their application to Sport England in the Opening School Facilities Fund and now invite schools to apply.
This fund aims to support young people to be active by allowing schools to operate safely, as we transition to recovery and reinventing what sport and activity provision looks like in the future. By helping schools to either re-open or open their sports facilities, we are supporting clubs and groups, some of which have not been able to do anything for almost 12 months, to access local facilities. This will facilitate much needed activities for young people during evenings and weekends.
For further information and to apply, please complete the online application form. The deadline for this application is Friday 30 April 2021.
