A six-figure investment in new machinery has led to a Coventry business expanding its overseas trade to 62 countries and recruiting extra staff. NDE Clarke Pitchline, which is based at the historic former Riley Motor Company Works on Aldbourne Road, specialises in the design, engineering and manufacture of a range of mechanical power transmission components used in traditional industries ranging from steel, mining, paper and also electric vehicles, wind energy, marine and defence.
The business is reaping the benefits of a series of recent investments over the last 18 months totalling around £300,000. These included a Gear Measurement CMM Machine that was supported by a £46,263 grant from the Coventry and Warwickshire Business Support Programme which is delivered by Coventry City Council.
A free to attend virtual networking morning for businesses in and around Coventry is held on the first Wednesday of each month. This is an opportunity to meet with other entrepreneurs, self-employed people and small business owners to continue to network, collaborate and support each other. Hosted and facilitated by Sandra Garlick MBE, founder of the Woman Who Inspires Network and FSB Volunteer Area lead. The event is open to FSB members and non-members. Register for the meeting on 7 April.
