Unfortunately, it has been brought to our attention that some schools in other local authorities have received hoax phone calls. A male, ‘Uncle Rafool’, is calling the school office stating they have a child from the school (David from year 9 for example). The office staff, on once instance, revealed the child’s surname as there was a child matching that description. The male then went on to say he had the child in his garden passed out/having a seizure. All of this is sadly being recorded and then uploaded to YouTube as a ‘prank’.
It has also been raised whereby children from these local authorities are paying ‘Uncle Rafool’ to ‘prank’ their school and upload it to YouTube. This has been known historically, but has happened more recently within the last couple of weeks. Due to this, we ask you to be extremely vigilant and not to give out any information regarding children over the phone.
