Go Parks giveaway!

Between 11 November and 14 December 2020, Go Parks is running a free-to-enter prize giveaway.

The Go Parks Giveaway can be entered during a visit to your local park.

Simply look out for a Go Parks banner or poster on noticeboards, scan the QR code with your smartphone, and complete the form. Banners and posters with the QR code on, can be found in a number of parks across the city.

Established in 2019, the UK National Workplace Day of Remembrance takes place on 12 December each year. It’s a time to remember everyone who lost their lives at work, whatever their job, whatever their level, whatever their industry – they served and sacrificed in our economy.

National Grief Awareness Week 2020

A National Grief Awareness Week to raise awareness of all aspects of grief and loss on a national scale. To offer access to a choice of tailored bereavement support to all those grieving in the UK and to those working with the bereaved. To ensure immediate access to support for all types of bereavement in local communities across the country.

Tidings of joy

Sell-out success sees Armonico Consort add new festive dates.

Tidings of joy! Armonico Consort has added four extra dates to its Christmas concerts calendar in Warwick and Malvern to keep up with popular demand.

The leading UK choir, which is based in Warwick, has been working round the clock to add the new dates after its performances of A German Christmas and Carols by Candlelight rapidly sold out.  A filmed stream of Carols By Candlelight is also planned.

Christmas Jumper Day 2020

What is Christmas Jumper Day and when is it?
Christmas Jumper Day is an annual charity event and this year it’s being held on 11 December, with 100% of proceeds going to the charity ‘Save the Children’.

Individuals and organisations, businesses and schools, find their most festive jumpers and wear the jumpers to work for the day instead of normal clothes or uniforms, to raise funds through sponsorship.

Local charity appeals for 100 Christmas gifts to give to children with cancer

.

Coventry-based charity, Shine a Light Support Service, is asking local businesses to help provide Christmas gifts to children suffering with cancer.

The charity works with families of cancer patients aged between 0 and 24, providing a range of vital services, including home visits, counselling sessions, day trips and social events.

January is Walk Your Dog Month and what better way to kick start your New Year's resolutions by getting out in the great outdoors and walking off some of that festive food and drink?

The transition period ends in January 2021

The UK has left the EU, and the transition period after Brexit comes to an end this year. You should find out what you can do now to prepare.
