Staying safe yet having fun in our city

Girl with mask

It's certainly been a busy month with children starting back at school, some of us going back to work after being furloughed and taking last minute trips and advantage of our Go CV card with our families and friends (socially distanced of course!) while we've enjoyed some Autumn sunshine.

This month we're featuring a great offer for The Wave, more free cycle training and how to get Priority tickets for the Rugby League World Cup 2021!

Unfortunately as you're aware, cases are increasing nationally and also in Coventry, so we are reminding everyone to stay safe and still maintain social distance, wear masks wherever possible and wash your hands regularly.

The NHS COVID-19 app has now launched and through the app – you can help us get a better understanding on how the virus is spreading in Coventry. By using the app, you’ll be helping protect those around you – friends, family, colleagues and local communities.  Some of our venues will also want you to scan in using it.  Help keep us all safe by downloading it today: https://covid19.nhs.uk/

Take care and stay safe

New exhibition at The Herbert

13 ways of looking Shiyi Lee

From 2 October, a new exhibition called Thirteen Ways of Looking opens at The Herbert Art Gallery and Museum in partnership with New Art West Midlands.

The title of this exhibition is inspired by Wallace Stevens’ poem ‘Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird’ (1917) and brings together existing and newly commissioned artworks by thirteen artists and curators. Their working practices bring forward international, multicultural, multi-faith and feminist perspectives which shift very much like those of the blackbird in the poem.
