Coventry Carers' bulletin - August edition

Welcome to this month's bulletin

We start this month's bulletin by saying a huge congratulations to the Young Carers Service who have been chosen as the Arena Shopping Park Charity of the year!! Such fantastic news. Well done to all the team, young carers and their families.

You will see in this bulletin that Coventry libraries have produced a video on how to access their services safely when collecting books. There is information on taking care of yourself and in particular if you have had Covid-19 and there is also the opportunity to take part in some research with Warwick University.

Take care.

What's going on in Coventry's libraries?

Click and collect

It’s been great to welcome people back to some of our library buildings with our new Click and Collect service.

Anyone can use this service to return or borrow books at eight of our local libraries, no matter which Coventry library you usually use, or have borrowed books from previously.

We look forward to booking you an appointment online

or by phone: 024 7683 2314

When visiting a library you must wear a face covering.

They provide information, advice and support for coping with feelings and worries, daily life and getting through a tough time. The books have been chosen and endorsed by leading health professionals and co-produced with children and families and are available from all Coventry libraries.

As of 4 May 2020, unpaid carers were classified as "essential workers" and seen as a priority and are eligible to receive a test. This also means people living within your household, who start to display symptoms are eligible.  Testing is most effective within 3 days of developing symptoms. You can apply online for a test.
