Workplace Action Cards by Public Health
Public Health England has now released action cards for businesses that summarise the steps that should be taken to manage a possible outbreak of COVID-19. The action cards are designed to be printed or downloaded to keep on-hand in your business or organisation.
Action cards are available for each of the following business types:
- Arts, heritage and cultural venues
- Cinemas, theatres, comedy venues and music venues
- Construction and outdoor work
- Dress fitters, tailors and fashion designers
- Hairdressing, barbershops, beauty and nail bars, makeup, and tattoo and spray tanning studios
- Manufacturing of food and other large processing plants
- Restaurants, pubs, bars, cafes or takeaways
- Shops and branches
- Spas, sports and massage therapy, wellbeing and holistic centres

The Automotive Transformation Fund is a long-term programme designed to enable the UK to build the world’s most comprehensive and compelling electrified vehicle supply chain.
ATF will enable UK-based manufacturers to serve global markets, increasing skilled jobs and building the foundations for the automotive industry to transition to zero-emission technologies.

The Government needs to slash the costs of employing staff to help companies and their employees emerge from the Coronavirus crisis, according to business leaders in Coventry and Warwickshire.
Results from the latest British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) Coronavirus Business Impact Tracker, in partnership with job site Indeed, revealed that businesses are operating at half of their pre-COVID-19 capacity on average, despite lockdown measures easing.

Based at the flagship Coventry Job Shop, Coventry City Councils Employer Hub offers free recruitment and HR support for all businesses in Coventry and its surrounding areas.
With a team of dedicated advisors available to offer bespoke recruitment, training and employee wellbeing support.
The Employer Hub have now been operational since 2016 and have aided in the successful delivery of filling over 10,000 positions within Coventry & Warwickshire. They are readily available to offer free high-level employment support throughout the entire recruitment process, with assistance in job creation, job description and advertisement creation to arranging final interviews and supporting work trials. The Employer Hub will also pre-screen CV’s, applications and candidates to ensure candidate suitability, making use of the Coventry City Council Job Shops talent pool of over 25,000 registered customers. Where employers have training needs the Employer Hub work with our wide range of Training Provider partners to design bespoke courses tailored to employer need.
In addition to recruitment activities the Employer Hub can support employers to increase their productivity through evaluating their employee wellbeing, with support to sign up to the West Midlands Combined Authority Thrive at Work Charter. The Employer Hub can also support when businesses need to make redundancies, discussing restructures, redundancies, training and offering a support package to at risk colleagues to allow for a smoother transition.
