Section 175/157 Safeguarding Audit

The annual CSCP safeguarding in schools audit will open on Tuesday 10 March and needs to be completed by Friday 22 May 2020.

It will be the same format (Enable) as last year and the inputs from last year will still be visible. Schools will be able to edit existing inputs to update them to give an accurate picture of their safeguarding provision. The audit has been designed to support schools in showing that they have sound, robust procedures in place, identifies areas for development and supports reporting to governors/trustees, Ofsted and the Local Authority on how their duties under Section 175 of the Education Act 2002 and KCSIE (2019) are being carried out. There are a small number of new questions to reflect the changes in KCSIE from 2018 to 2019, but these changes are minimal.

Access the audit.

Please complete the audit or delegate this to an appropriate member of staff (DSL) so this is completed in time (reminders will follow).

If the person completing this last academic year has left the school or college, please inform Abigail Jones as soon as possible to ensure the relevant person can log in.

Any queries about this can be directed to Abigail Jones (CSCP Quality Assurance Manager) – Abigail.jones@coventry.gov.uk.
