Inspiring and Empowering people to improve their well-being....Thank you! #Yearofwellbeing2019

Thanks to all of you who have supported the Year of Wellbeing 2019.

We have had a great year, with thousands of people making a pledge to improve their wellbeing, thousands of people meeting us face-to-face at events, hundreds of people trained into wellbeing champion roles across various organisations and scores of people sharing their experience to inspire and empower others. You can watch our end of year film.

We reckon we've touched the lives of almost 1 million people through media and social media, and recruited schools and workplaces to lift wellbeing up their agendas.

A formal evaluation report will be published in the next few weeks. For now, we just wanted to say thank you, and well done Coventry and Warwickshire!

Cov uni

Coventry University has been awarded a whopping £6.8 million of Government funding to launch a mental health pilot aimed at improving the drastic statistics of work place mental health in Coventry and Warwickshire.

Midlands Engine awarded the university a grant to launch their Midlands Engine Mental Health pilot.

The pilot works with businesses and NHS professionals in the area to create new ways of tackling mental health in the workplace that specifically benefits employee well-being.

Coventry University said they hope to “break down the barriers to people suffering mental health problems.”

Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Health and Life Sciences Guy Daly said:  “Together we will deliver a step change in the support offered to employers and employees.”

A study carried out by the University of Warwick showed at any one time, a sixth of the population in England aged 16 to 64 has a mental health problem.
