Ofsted/CQC SEND Local Area inspection - October 2019

Coventry’s Local Area SEND Inspection will be taking place between 14 and 18 October 2019. The joint inspection is conducted by both OfSTED (Office for Standards in Education) and CQC (Care Quality Commission). During the week-long inspection, inspectors will be wanting to understand how well the local area (Coventry City Council, the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), health practitioners and other partners including nurseries, schools and colleges) support children and young people with SEND age 0 to 25 across the city.

Read detailed information about the inspection process on the GOV.UK website.

The Inspectors want to speak to as many parents and young people as possible, about their experiences and have offered a range of opportunities to do that.

If you are a parent/carer of a child or young person age 0 to 25 with special educational needs and you live in Coventry the inspectors would like to hear from you.

This includes a webinar (online meeting) and focus groups.

The webinar is now open and the questionnaire will close at 11:59 pm on Tuesday, 15 October 2019. The webinar consists of a recorded video from the inspectors, followed by a series of short questions. It should take about 30 minutes to complete.

You can also register an interest to attend a meeting, on Tuesday 11.45am - 1pm (central location) by sending an email to: SENDFeedback@coventry.gov.uk.

Alternatively, you may share your views by email to: Lasend.support@ofsted.gov.uk
