The Thriving Places Index (TPI) uses national data to measure the drivers of wellbeing in local authority areas, focusing on equality, local conditions, and sustainability. The TPI takes into account both assets and needs, with a emphasis on areas that can be influenced through local policy and action. See Coventry's scorecard here.
- Coventry is ranked 'medium' for equality, and between 'low' and 'medium' for local conditions and sustainability.
- Coventry performs well in personal wellbeing (measuring happiness, life satisfaction, feeling worthwhile, feeling anxious) and energy consumption per capita.
- There are six areas highlighted as 'low' in the city, including life expectancy at birth, renewable electricity generation, and the percentage of household waste sent for reuse, recycling, or composting.
