The Carers' Trust Heart of England along with other agencies will be hosting a range of activities, events and general fun during Carers' Week. This year's programme is filled with events to get carers connected with the local community. The week gets off to an early start during Coventry Pride.

If you help look after someone with any condition who couldn’t manage without your support, then come along and speak to one of our Wellbeing Workers who will be on hand to offer information, advice and support on your caring role
Two Fargo Village Carers' Week events on Sunday 9 June 2019 between 12noon and 6pm at Fargo Village, Far Gosford Street, Coventry, CV1 5ED.
– Poetry Event at the Big Comfy Book Shop between 12noon – 2pm
If you are interested in the poetry scene in Coventry or joining a poetry group or have some poetry you want to share with likeminded people come along to the Big Comfy Book Shop, meet with other poets, a carers centre Wellbeing Worker and Central Library staff with an interest in poetry.
– Open Mic acoustic session at Backhaus & co. between 4pm – 6pm
If you are interested in live local acoustic music, have some new material you would like to try out or are happy to listen supportively to others sharing theirs then come along to Backhaus & co in Fargo Village.
Carers' Drop-in Listening Clinic on Monday 10 June 2019 at University Hospital of Coventry & Warwickshire (UHCW) Involvement Hub.
Our Wellbeing Workers specialising in Hospital Discharge support, Carers' Assessments and Cancer Carer support will be on hand to offer information, advice and support on your caring role or just be there with a listening ear if you need it.
‘Getting Carers Connected with Services’ event on Tuesday 11 June 2019 between 10.30am – 2.30pm at Coventry Central Library, Smithford Way, Coventry, CV1 1FY
Come along and get connected with a range of useful services that could help you or the person you look after. Services that can help with benefits, social isolation, getting into education, saving money on utilities, getting into work, mental health support, health checks, Stop Smoking support, Council services, carer training, healthy eating demonstrations, SEN support, Carer and Wellbeing collections and Services in Coventry Libraries, cancer carer support, carer equipment and technology advice, and much more.

Have some tea and cake and talk with other carers, organisations and our Wellbeing Workers. Come along and get information on combatting social isolation, being a carer and how you may be able to get some support. Enjoy some wellbeing pampering or just join us for a chat!!
